August 17,2011 at 12:03 AM IST It is quite understandable that India has failed miserbly in several policies pertaining to governance of the state.. one for example is the national language issue.. we have 14,15 or 16 national languages.. it could go onto be 17, 18 or 19.. We have not been able to resolve the reservation policy.. instead of allowing most of them into mainstream we have been putting aside few more into the so called backward commnuities.. does it mean that we have been manufacturing some more of them rather than nullifying the discrimination.. We still do not have a stand how to treat the Kashmir issue.. if article 370 is a mistake should we stick to it forever.. We are more worried about our cricket and cinema to integrate us than anything else on this earth.. Constitutional amendments are not something new.. maybe the willingness to solve a problem has been minimal on the agenda of our most leaders.. we are a secular state so to say but our each community is divided into several wings.. We are doing well when we go and work in other countries but fail atrciously when working under the conditions prevalent in our own motherland.. Lokpal or Jokepal bill unless we unite ourselves to fight some of our own miseries no Anna Hazare can help us.. we must address ourselves to make ourselves worthy of his struggle.. again.. if one could really agree to call it a struggle to save the nation from corruption.. It is for us to decide whether we deserve Anna Hazare.. we must ask ourselves whether it was appropriate of the government to put Anna and his like minded team alongside of the Kalamadi,Raja and Kanimozhi |
